Mental Health Awareness Week
OCT. 6-10, 2014
“In The Zone”

Training the brain to be relaxed enough to focus on meeting the demands of the moment.  Building mental strength using evidenced-based activities!

A daily “Zone” activity has been chosen to practice building resilience and managing daily stressors.

Monday:   Music and physical activity

Tuesday: STOP

S:  Stop what you are doing and put things down for a minute
T:  Take a breath
O:  Observe your thoughts & feelings Notice them and continue
P:  Proceed, in that moment, to take on the challenge at hand

 Wednesday:  Growth Mindset

Thursday:  Walking with Awareness

Walk with appreciation
Walk grounded
Walk consciously noticing sights, sounds, smells, wind or temperature
Walk with positive affirmations

Friday:  Novelty

Practice Curiosity
